Canadian Work and Live Visa may get processed faster in 2017 as part of Global Skills Strategy

The federal government in Canada plans to process the Work and Live Visa faster than the usual in next year. This step will be taken as a part of a Global Skills Strategy thats likely to be initiated in the year 2017.
Certain Work and Live Visas to be processed in 2 weeks under GSS
As a vital part of Global Skills Strategy initiative, the priority processing time of 2 weeks shall begin in 2017, for a few specific Work and Live Visas that fall in high demand and low risk category.
The Global Skill Strategy measures will include the following:
- A committed service channel shall be formed for organizations looking to make huge investments in Canada for job creation
- In low-risk fields, Work and Live Visa requirement for very short-term work (i.e. 30 days or less) to be dropped. Short academic stays would also be included in this.
- A dedicated two-week average to be set up for processing highly in demand and low risk Work and Live Visas and visas for the Canadian organizations
