Express Entry Year End Report 2016  Majority of Indians Invited for Canada PR

As per the express entry yearend report (2016) issued by Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada, India leads the tally of country of residence of the most invited applicants in the federal express entry system. Express Entry is the most popular Immigration program of Canada that reviews the immigration applicants through a point based system to issue them ITA (Invitation to apply) for permanent residency in Canada. India leads the tally of countries from which most immigrants got ITA for Canada PRThe IRCC has issued the year-end report with different analytics and statistics with regards to invited candidates, candidates in the pool and candidates got admitted in Canada, etc. An important list of all the statistics and figure is the list of countries from which most immigrants got invited in 2016.

India also topped the list of Invited Candidates by Country of Residence in the year 2015 and this year too it has topped the table. In year 2015 a total of 6,348 Indian citizens invited, i.e. 22 percent of total invitees, whereas, in 2016 staggering 10,499 candidates invited from India, with more than 10 percent increase compared to last year, i.e. 33 percent of total invitees. Foreign Applicants invited more The other key statistics in the 2016 yearend report revealed that more candidates invited for Canadian permanent residency from outside Canada compared to the Express entry draw results of year 2015. Though, Canada was the leading country or residence for the invited candidates, among all the countries, however, the percentage of year 2015, i.e. 78 percent dropped drastically to 69 percent in the year 2016. This means, the now the express entry is looking to invite more and more candidates from outside Canada compared to first year. The percentage of foreign invitees may shoot up in the year 2017 looking at the exceptional EE draw results this year. Very few Candidates with job offer selected This was one of the surprising facts revealed in 2016 yearend report of federal express entry system. As per the report, the percentage Invitees with job offer decreasing drastically. In the first half of 2015 about 65 percent candidates with job offer got selected, however the percentage drastically dropped down to 12 percent in the last quarter of 2016. Occupations wise ITALike 2015, the year 2016 was also dominated by the IT occupations. Among the total occupations, 14 percent were IT occupations, in the year 2016, i.e. Information Systems Analysts and Consultants (6%), Software Engineers (4%), Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers (4%). The IT occupations recorded the rise of 4 percent compared to last year.

The other key occupations that got the high percentage of invitations in 2016 were, Cooks, Food Services Supervisors, University Professionals and Lecturers, Graphic Designers and Illustrators, Professional Occupations in Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations, Financial Auditors and Accountants, Retail Sales Supervisors, etc. Province wise Admissions Among the destination provinces, Ontario received most of the admissions (12,395) followed by Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia.
