Applying under Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) Visa is the easiest options to get PR visa in New Zealand as skilled worker. NZ has the similar point based immigration system to process the applications received for PR. NZ PR process under SMC category can be divided in four steps, i.e.
- Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) online and score minimum 100 points to get selected in the pool
- Every two weeks best EOIs are selected from the pool of candidates. If you are selected, you will get invitation to apply for visa
- You will have 4 month to submit the application for visa
- Immigration NZ will process your application and will call you for interview etc. Its the final step, if everything goes fine you will get the approval for the visa.
Immigration NZ doesnt specify the exact times as the processing of application at their end may take several months. However, if everything about your application is fine it will take minimum time to get processed.
